Behind the Lens
Behind the lens, I’m always searching for something more than just a photo. I’m looking for a moment that feels real, something that exists quietly in between everything else. The kind of moment most people pass by without noticing. Photography, for me, is about slowing those moments down and giving them space to be seen.
I didn’t start with the intention of building a business or creating a brand. It began with curiosity. Walking through the city, noticing light hitting buildings in a certain way, watching how people move through spaces, or how a single detail can change the entire feel of a scene. Over time, that curiosity turned into something deeper. I started to understand that what I was capturing wasn’t just images, it was perspective.
Being based in Toronto, I’ve always been surrounded by movement. The city is fast, constantly changing, and filled with energy. But what draws me in are the quieter moments within it. A pause in the middle of a busy street. A reflection in glass that most people wouldn’t stop to look at. The way light fades at the end of the day, leaving behind something calm. These are the moments I’m drawn to, the ones that don’t demand attention but still carry meaning.
As someone who writes, storytelling has always been a part of how I see the world. I’ve learned to look beyond what’s in front of me and think about what a moment represents. That mindset naturally carries into my photography. Every image I take is approached like a story. There’s a reason behind it, a feeling connected to it, something that makes it more than just a visual.
I don’t believe photography is just about capturing what’s there. It’s about how you choose to see it. Two people can stand in the same place and take completely different photos, because perspective shapes everything. That’s what I focus on. Finding angles, lighting, and timing that turn something ordinary into something that feels intentional.
Whether it’s urban scenes, automotive photography, or more creative projects, the goal stays the same. To create images that feel cinematic, clean, and real. Not overly staged, not forced, but something that connects. I want people to look at a photo and feel like they’re part of that moment, not just observing it.
NovaLens Studio is built around that idea. It’s not just about photography as a service, it’s about creating something that lasts beyond the moment itself. Every shoot, every frame, every detail is approached with that same mindset. To capture not just what something looks like, but what it feels like.
At the end of the day, photography is just a tool. What matters is the story behind it. The reason it was taken. The moment it represents.
Because every frame holds something more, you just have to be willing to see it.
Meet Aymaan Chowdhury
I’m Aymaan, the creative behind NovaLens Studio.
What started as a simple interest in photography quickly became something more. I found myself drawn to moments that most people overlook, the way light hits a building, the stillness in a busy street, or the feeling captured in a single frame. Over time, that curiosity turned into a passion for creating visuals that feel real, cinematic, and intentional.
Based in the Toronto area, my work focuses on urban, automotive, and creative photography. I’m inspired by movement, perspective, and the small details that shape a scene. Whether it’s capturing the energy of the city or the quiet in a moment, I aim to create images that go beyond just visuals and tell a story.
Outside of photography, I’m also a writer, which plays a big role in how I approach my work. I see every photo as part of a larger narrative. Each shot has a purpose, a feeling, and a story behind it. That mindset influences everything I create.
NovaLens Studio is an extension of that vision. It’s not just about taking photos, it’s about capturing moments that feel meaningful and lasting.
